Edit Project gives you option to change MCU you wish to use, change its oscillator frequency and enables you to alter fuse bits of the selected device.
As you alter these bits, appropriate register values will be updated also. This can be viewed in the Configuration Registers pane.

Also, you can set Program Memory's purpose, for application purpose (with or without using Boot Flash section) or for Bootloader purpose.

There is a button which lets you select default fuse bit settings for the selected device.

Besides this, user can choose whether he wants to use the heap and also set the heap size.
